Famiglie Drammis, Ceraldi e Barberio.

Don Guglielmo Drammis, che non ho conosciuto personalmente, aveva due figli: Don Antonio e Don Giovanni. Don Antonio era sposato con una figlia di Rosa Ceraldi, la giovane, e di Francesco Lazzaro. Anche la madre di mio padre si chiamava Rosa Ceraldi, che era sposata con mio nonno, Leopoldo Barberio. Il padre di mia nonna Rosa si era risposato dopo la morte della moglie e cosí si capisce perché le due sorelle si chiamavano Rosa. Don Antonio Drammis aveva almeno 4 figli, che posso ricordare: Guglielmo, Checchina (Franceschina?), Giovanni e Salvatore. Don Giovanni non aveva figli. Con la proclamazione della Repubblica Italiana, dopo l'esilio del re, i titoli nobiliari non sono stati riconosciuti ufficialmente. I figli del barone li chiamavamo per nome. Il mio bisnonno Antonio Barberio aveva sposato la sorella del segretario del barone, Barbara Tiano, e aveva un incarico probabilmente equivalente a quello di geometra. Il figlio, Gerardo Barberio, aveva sposato Luigina Canterna, una figlia di Giuseppina Canterna, che faceva la domestica, se non sbaglio, e proveniva da Strongoli.

My family was on those ships. On each ship, in this case 4, were 30 persons. The original ship

manifest is almost unreadable. There is a printable version of the manifests, like here above,

with less informations. Even on the printable version, some names are mispelled. Often the most

persons were together with family members or from the same location. Beside my family I have 

similary informations about circa 120 people from South Italy.

Family tree/Stamboom/Albero genealogico.

On the family site You can find the family tree of Antonio Barberio, married with Barbara Tiano.Our ancestor cames from San Giovanni in Fiore (CS). We miss details about his family before he came to Scandale (KR). He had an important job at the palace of the baron Drammis (building's picture on demand) and he was married with a sister of the secretary Nicola Tiano. As I can see on the tree, some kids of my ancestor had 1 first name, others 3 first names. The kids with 1 name were called to his family and they were the oldiest: thus I think those names came from his parents. Kids with 3 first names were called to her family (Tiano). This kids emigrated to the USA and we miss details about his. Even my grandpa Leopoldo was for a while in New York: on a document we can see he was on the ship Prinzess Irene. He started on March 29 of 1907 from Naples and arrived at April 12 of the same year to NY. Until next message. Bye, Salvatore.
